the story

ROADS UNBOUND began on the roads of the American West, at a time when leaving felt easier than staying. There was nothing to prove and nowhere to conquer.

I left carrying a simple, honest desire to step away from the world I knew

—and found myself welcomed into worlds that asked me nothing.

The desert asked for no explanation.
The mountains required nothing.
I could simply be there.

Deserts, mountains, plants, animals, rock formations, skies, streets, and places became more than scenery. The longer I stayed, the more I began to recognize each as a subject of its own existence, shaped by its own history, rhythms, transformations, and ways of being. To encounter them was, in some quiet way, to exchange something with them.

What began as escape gradually became a way of seeing.

Through understanding how something grows, adapts, endures, erodes, or changes, we may find new ways of understanding our own lives—sometimes perspective, sometimes connection, sometimes healing.

ROADS UNBOUND carries these encounters forward through photography, apparel, objects, and visual storytelling: what the world gives us, brought back into everyday life.

Enter. Observe. Receive. Reflect. Carry forward.

Among lives written in time,
where one existence meets another.
